SMOKED CHEDDAR
Murray's Smoked Cheddar is a semi-hard, double-smoked cow's milk cheese produced in Wisconsin under the supervision of a Certified Master Cheesemaker. Made from pasteurized milk and aged for nine months, it features a robust, savory flavor with hickory smoke, nutty and fruity undertones, and a creamy, firm texture ideal for melting. The product uses enzymes (likely microbial) for coagulation, though vegetarian status is uncertain. It pairs well with robust red wines and dark beers, and complements hearty meats and fruits. Signs of spoilage include ammonia odor, pink mold, and sliminess. Murray's expanded distribution via Kroger since 2017.
